Village of argegno
Village of Argegno
Argegno is located on the shores of Lake Como, on a quaint inlet offering wonderful views of the lake. The mouth of the Telo River, also known as Telo d'Argento, divides the ancient medieval village into two parts, which are connected by an age-old stone bridge with pointed arches.
At one time, the village was part of a defensive system designed to hinder the passage of invaders, but its origins are clearly Roman. The ancient stone houses, built leaning against each other around the banks of the Telo River, make Argegno very picturesque. This is the perfect destination for taking a stroll to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the town and the view offered by the splendid Lake Como, beautiful in every season.
