Livigno Duty Free Area
Duty Free Area
As well as its long ski pistes and uncontaminated nature, Livigno is also renowned as a duty-free zone and as a consequence offers reduced price shopping, due to special tax concessions and offers on purchases.
During a holiday in this mountain resort, tourists can therefore enjoy some duty-free retail therapy. Very good value articles range from fragrances to the most sophisticated lines of clothing, and also include cameras and eyewear, computers and other electronics.
For foodies who always bring home edible souvenirs, in addition to the typical local products such as cured meats and cheese, there are also sugar and coffee at duty-free prices.
Petrol is also much cheaper than in the rest of Italy, as are tobacco products and alcohol.
Limits apply to the duty-free goods, while for the other goods there is a maximum cost, any additional purchases must be declared at customs.
